What the heck is going on with coloring books now-a-days?
So, I really got the urge to color, and I am a Disney fanatic. Off I went to Toys R Us to look for a Disney coloring book. They have them, but they are all like one character, front and center. No background whatsoever. Tried another one… this one was more or the less the same, but came with stickers. ooohhhh. It wasn’t just Disney either I tried Disney, Cars, Hello Kitty and some other generic one. I checked at Wal-Mart, too.
Are there coloring books that actually have characters with backgrounds behind them anymore?
I was thoroughly disappointed!
I remember when I was younger having a Disney coloring book, where the pictures were of the characters on the rides, so the It’s a Small World picture had all the little dolls and scenery in the background. Or ones by the train depot had a train and plants and brick buildings etc. Something to use your imagination on. Not just a big black and white Mickey head and that’s it.
Sadly, I think people are becomming less imaginative.
