Looking for a movie about a genie?
I am NOT thinking about the popular Aladdin movie made by Disney.
This involved live action and was made sometime before 1980. What I can recall is that near the end, the man who had the genie’s lamp tossed the lamp into a lava pit as a promise to free the genie. It may have been an Aladdin movie, but I cannot recall which one exactly. I remember it being in color, although I’m not sure if it was filmed in color or if it was colorized afterward.
When the guy was tossing the lamp into the lava pit, I also recall that they were in a cave of some sort and that the genie had just summoned some rope or something to help him (and a woman?) escape from where they were at. I’m inclined to think that there were also pirates or a ship involved somehow.
