Can anyone tell me Jasmine’s song from Aladdin that was not included in the Disney cartoon movie?
I remember it after the song ‘… To Be Free’ (that was also removed from the cartoon version, but is being played in musicals). Jasmine sang a song of a man she is looking for. something like ..’He’s gotta be someone..’ it was so beautiful but a sad song of a princess somewhat imprisoned by her wealth and culture. After the Muslims saw this, they petitioned to have it removed by Disney so as not to influence their women about freedom and the choice to marry or something. it was really sad. I liked that part.
I thought there was a special version of the movie, like that of Pocahontas where Mel Gibson and Judy Khun sang the If I Never Knew You which made me cry.. 
so can anyone tell me about it and somehow send me a video / audio link? Or did the Muslims successfully removed it from Disney’s production?
It’s not from Aladdin, it’s from the musical Little Tramp. Lea Salonga sang “He’s Got to Be Someone” and was also the singing voice for Jasmine in Aladdin, so that’s probably what caused the confusion.
There *was* a song that was changed due to an Arab-American group’s complaints: “Arabian Nights”. The line “where they cut off your ear if they don’t like your face” was changed to “where its flat and immense and the heat is intense” for the video release of the movie.
