I need animation tips and programs?
I really like the look of 2d animation like the old disney movies (lion king,aladdin, etc.) I can draw fairly good and have many things I want to animate. I was wondering how I could do this. I have an idea of how (drawing many many pictures changing it slightly in each copy) but that is long and complicated. Is there anything that can possibly help me. Any tips on how to do this? If you know of any good programs (preferably free and downloadable) please list them.

You are correct that in saying that the process is long and complicated if you are looking to emulate the classics.
I would recommend two books to learn about animation:
Disney’s The Illusion of Life (Ollie Johnson & Frank Thomas)
Animators Survival Guide (Richard Williams)
They will give you invaluable assistance with the animation.
After reading these books, you will want to head for good old pen and paper to get started.
If you are looking into computer animation, Flash is the most obvious answer. It has great drawing and animation tools, and there is loads of tutorials and support online.
