What do you think of the Sorcerer Hat icon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Disney says that the Sorcerer Mickey Hat “truly represents the magic of show business and the entertainment wizardry of Disney. This imaginative icon falls in line with the tradition of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, Spaceship Earth at Epcot and the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.”
The Sorcerer Hat completely blocks the view of the Chinese Theatre. Do you think that the Chinese Theatre should remain as the park’s symbol, or is the new Sorcerer Hat a better icon for the Hollywood-themed park?

In response to acezacsgirl’s answer, of course I know that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is part of Walt Disney World Resort. Anyone who has been there would know that.
What I dislike most about the Sorcerer Hat is that it is basically a band-aid fix to cover up the theatre. Not only that, when you walk over to the Hat, it’s nothing special. Just a place where you can buy trading pins.
I like the hat it is pretty neat. Although I must admit the theater looks better then the hat.
The reason the hat was put up though I believe is because they dont have the rights to promote the park with the theater. Since the theater is part of the Great Movie ride they couldn’t really tear it down so instead they blocked it. That way when they have something on TV they don’t have edit the video since the hat is blocking the view.
