What NOT to miss when in Disney with two kids…?

Hey…I’ve been to Disney a few times but I’m taking my kids for the first time in May. My kids are 4 (girl) and 3 (boy), I would really like to plan out our trip but I don’t really know what MUST SEE’s I must see (shows, parades, new attractions). Last time I went was about 5 years ago with my husband and we obviouslly weren’t into going to see Mickey’s birthday bash, so I have no clue of what is new and excitting for the kids.

We’ll be in Orlando for 8 days and we plan to visit:
Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
Epcot
MGM
Sea World

We will be staying at one of the parks hotels.

ok at magic kingdom:
In fronteirland:
The Country Bear Jamboree which is a 17 minute show which children of all ages can attend, but this show is a little bit corny for older viewers.
Big thundermountain railroad- Its only for children 40″ or taller. lines tend to be really long. Its a rollercoaster basically
Splash mountain- children once again have to be 40″ to be able to get on it . It is a very fun wet ridde featuring brer rabbit and such
Tom Saywer Island: Transported by raft to the island, visitors are free to explore once there. There are places for adults to sit, while children can play in caves and explore trails and bridges. Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn, located on the island, serves sandwiches and drinks. Visit early in the day, because this attraction closes at dark.

Tommorowland

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin- After boarding their vehicle, visitors are able to spin their vehicles and shoot their laser guns at targets for points Your boy will escpecially enjoy this one

Tomorrowland Transit Authority -Four person vehicles transport visitors around Tomorrowland for a bird’s eye view. The slow moving ride travels through Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. This is especially good when the little ones are tired

Fantasyland
i reccomend highly doing everything in Fantasyland
The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, Cinderella’s Golden Carousel,Dumbo The Flying Elephant, It’s A Small World,Mad Tea Party(unless you dont like getting dizzy)Peter Pan’s Flight, Snow White’s Scary Adventures,Storytime with Belle at Fairytale Garden, Ariel’s Grotto,Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and Pooh’s Playful Spot

Everything in Mickey’s toontown fair
Nothing in Liberty square( unless you think your kids wont get scared in haunted mansion

Adventureland:
Pirates Of The CaribbeanRecently updated to include Captain Jack Sparrow! This indoor boat ride follows a group of Audio-Animatronics pirates adventures.
Aladin’s Magic Carpet

Ok Animal kingdom
Dicovery Island:
It’s Tough To Be a Bug! Join Flik and friends to see life through a bug’s perspective. This 3-D show initiates the audience to be bugs for a day. The theater is extremely dark and some small children have become frightened by this show.
The Tree Of Life -As the centerpiece of the Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life is 14 stories high and has 325 animals
Camp Minnie and Mickey
Dinoland USA:
DEFINETLY DEFINTELY go see Finding Nemo the musical I will guaruntee your children will love it ( if they’ve seen the movie or not)
TriceraTop Spin:This ride is similar to Dumbo at the Magic Kingdom.
Dinosaur- children may become firghtened. fun ride

Africa:
Kilimanjaro Safaris -Travel on trams through a Disney-made safari to get a close look at monkeys, elephants, lions, antelopes, and more animals (the trams have a guide with pictures and the names of the animals). Each safari ride is unique because different animals are visible each time.
Asia- I dont know if they’re tall enough to do the rides in Asia but you can see the wildlife

World Show case:
Mexico-Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros-nice relaxing boat ride
Norway:Maelstorm-Travel along the North Sea in this boat ride that includes encounters with Vikings and trolls
Future World:
Spaceship Earth:Inside the Spaceship Earth geosphere, explore the history of communication while traveling in “time-travel” vehicles( go in the Afternoon)
Club Cool-sample coke products from around the world.
The land:Living with the Land-Take a boat ride to learn more technological advancements in agriculture( visits five greenhouses very pretty)
Soarin’ :Experience what it would be like to hang glide over California
The seas with finding nemo and friends
at night see ilumintaions its fantastic!

Ok next MGM(now Hollywood Studios btw)
Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage.
At night go to see fantasmic ( a firework display:incredible)make sure you get there early because it fills up fast!)
The great movie ride: tours you through movie such as Wizard of Oz complete with a tour guide)
Journey into Narnia( if your kids liked the movies)
Animation courtyard:Everything except The magic of disney animation
Jim Henson’s Muppet Vision 3-D- experience the muppets in 3D
Toy Story Midway Mania- highly reccomend it like buzz lightyear except in 3D.
American idol experience- watch park guest or enter yourself at a chance to be on their version of american idol( haven’t seen it yet but am in 2 days)
high school musical stage show- if they enjoy that)

Lastly sea world:
Journey to atlantis
(i would reccomend Kracken but their not old enough)
Shamu adventure- watch smau perform tricks( dont sit close to the stage)
Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island” stars the park’s hilarious sea lions, otters and walrus in a swashbuckling adventure
“Cirque de la Mer” a truly unique, nontraditional circus that blends athleticism, acrobatics, modern dance

make sure you have plenty of food for them, comfy shoes , extra clothes and water.You might also want to take your little girl to the bipidy boppidy boo botique- where she can dress up like a little princes and get your son dressed up like a pirate. i dont really think they will like epcot so My alternative is for you to take them to downtown disney to disney quest- an indoor theme park that lets them play video games and stuff
