Disney World…Has anyone walked from All-Star Sports to Animal Kingdom Lodge?
We’re staying at the Sports, and for the first night of our arrival, we made dinner reservations for Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge…Instead of having to interchange buses, we were wondering if it would be do-able just to walk?…If so, how long will it take?…I know the Sports is near the AK Lodge, but as to how far, I can’t tell by looking at the map…Reservations are for around 8pm, so obviously the hot sun won’t be an issue.
First the Boma isn’t that great. I will say my family and I are not big on buffets. There are so many other restaurants that are better. I didn’t think that they had too much to choose from at the buffet. None of us would go back to it.
As said above, Disney isn’t good for walking around outside of the resorts and parks. There isn’t anywhere on the roads safe to walk, even if you are up to a 2 mile walk in 85 degree heat. The sun will still be out at 8pm if you are going anytime soon. The cars are going fast and there are tons of huge Disney buses along those roads. Ask at the front desk how to get to the other resorts. They can get a taxi for you.
