Disney Animal Kingdom?
I’m 15 and i hate zoos, because there hot, smelly, and i hate seeing the animals all locked up and unhappy.
Is Disney Animal Kingdom like a Giant zoo? Will i hate it?
I actually like Animal Kingdom. It’s not my favorite Disney Park, but it’s not bad. It’s in Florida, so of course it’s hot (unless you’re planning on going in January). I don’t find it particularly smelly, and the animals are cared for quite well. Disney’s Animal Kingdom actually has very spacious and nice exhibits, with plenty of enrichment for their animals. They haven’t ever seemed unhappy to me, and I was a zookeeper for a number of years so I can say without a doubt that the animal care aspect of the park is handled VERY well.
The entire park isn’t just animals though. There are some fantastic shows (Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo – The Musical and It’s Tough to be a Bug are awesome), some great rides (Expedition Everest, Dinosaur! and Kilimanjaro Safaris are my favorites) and overall just great scenery/atmosphere. Give it a chance; don’t go in there expecting the worst, just keep an open mind and take it as it comes at you. I really don’t think you’ll have a bad time, I find it impossible to have a bad time anywhere in Disney World!
