Disney World planning..dining, events etc…?

My family is traveling to disney. We have two boys 17 and 14 y/o’s. We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge for 1 week. I purchased the disney dining plan, but am debating on where exactly to dine. I’ve been looking online for resturaunts, but I don’t want to waste a whole day dining somewhere which might not be good. Does anyone some suggestions as where the best places to dine within the WDW resort are? We will be dining at facilites which require one(1) disney dining pass (not doublestacking passes to dine at Artist Pointe style resturaunts.) We will be traveling to all parks, so we are open to any location.

One thing you might want to consider is looking into Disney buffets. There is a wide variety of food there and then if someone doesn’t like a dish then they can just pick up something else, no problem. Here are some tastey Disney ones that use one credit:
- Boma – Really yummy African food and some soul food buffet at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. AFter eating you can go check out the viewing windows and see the animals!
- Whispering Canyon Cafe at your resort. They have all you can eat skillets that are delicious! My husband and I tried to make a reservation here for June but they were already filled! That’s how good they are!
- Tusker House buffet at the Animal Kingdom. Some Indian and AFrican food. Yum!
- Crystal Palace – this is a character buffet! – Magic Kingdom
- Chef Mickey’s – Popular character buffet – Contemporary Resort
- Liberty Tree Tavern – Family style all you can eat place with American food at the Magic Kingdom

Otherwise just check out menus for all the restaurants at http;//www.allears.net and find restaurants your family would enjoy. You know what kind of food they like! Allears has reviews on their website as well so you can see if other people liked it.

Whatever you decide make sure you make reservations 90 days in advance so you can get the restaurants you so carefully picked! Like I said we are two months away and already Whispering Canyon was fully booked for the day I wanted.
