Is this on the extreme end of bridal shower themes?
so well, my cousin is getting married and her bridal shower theme is disney princesses, if this wasn’t tormenting enough, she wants all the guests to be dressed as the disney princess of their choice. Now my question is:
1. Am i the only one who thinks this is retarded?
2. Since i actually ‘have’ to attend this crap, any suggestions on what i can wear to this event?
3. Pictures of actual disney princess costumes are appreciated, since i have no idea where or what to buy.
4. Why should i waste my money on a costume that i would only wear once?
5. I cannot be cinderella because the bride is going to be dressed as cinderella.
6. Can i just wear regular stuff, something formal instead of dressing up?
I know these are a lot of questions/rants but I need some good pictures and ideas on where to buy REALLY CHEAP princess dresses and what i should wear. Thanks everyone!
You need to sit her down and lay down the law.
And say something like,
The good news is that we are having a Disney themed Shower for your, (ie – Fairytale Wedding)
However, with the economy and costs that go with the event, I am not asking guests to come in costume. It will still be a special day and I don’t want any guests to feel like they shouldn’t attend because they can’t afford a costume. (or feel left out)
Basically, be kind, firm and think of others. I hate to say it but if I had to wear a costume and / or couldn’t afford one I would not attend the shower.
