Disney10K vacation recommendations?
Looking for a little help in choosing the best place to stayfor around 3-4 days when going to disney for their 10K race in October. No kids, just a young couple. Coming from overseas and didn’t want to rent a car. Prefer somewhere reasonably priced with a shuttle service to Disney since might want to do a 2-3 day pass after the race event. Considering the priority is the 10K race, relaxation and recuperation considerations are paramount. Have not done Disney in years or been to that part of Florida in a long time so recommendations would be helpful.
If it fits your budget, I’d recommend one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts in this case, due to the fact that you’re putting a lot of emphasis on rest and relaxation. The Value Resorts, which include the All Star Resorts, are usually a popular choice for families with children, and also for groups of school age children who go to Walt Disney World on school sponsored trips.
Of the Deluxe Resorts, I’d suggest Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This is one of WDW’s original resorts, and it features beaches and a tropical theme. It feels like you’re getting away from it all, even though you’re right in the middle of it.
