I need help with a job interview question. Please?
Okay, I’ve got a job interview with Disney in a couple of days. It’s part of their cultural representative programme where you work in Florida for a year.
I’ve worked for Disney before. I worked for Disney Cruise Line for a year and while I enjoyed it, I left because the hours were too much. On the ships you work ten hours a day, seven days a week. You don’t get a day off. I’m not exaggerating, it’s true. Anyway, the land based Disney job is much fewer hours AND you get days off.
They are bound to ask “why did you quit working for Disney?”. I can’t tell them the hours were too much because they’ll think I don’t like hard work or something.
You guys are great for things like this. What would you suggest?
You could bend the truth a bit, and tell them you were constantly fighting sea sickness on the cruise ship.
