Disney World question! need some expert advice!?

My mom and I (night owls) arrive at MCO at 9:45pm on August 16th. We have a 7 day hopper pass but leave quite early on August 23rd. Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Hours on the 16th until 1:00am. We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort, would this be possible: take Magical Express to resort, hop on bus to Magic Kingdom (do the buses even run TO the parks this late??) and spend even an hour at Magic Kingdom to kick off our holiday! If we don’t go, a day of our pass will be wasted. Also, should we have ME bring luggage to room to save time? Can we store our carry-ons so we can just hop on a bus to MK? Thanks sooo much!

well the magical express ride will take a good 35-45 minutes to get to your hotel so it will be around 11pm when you get there.
then you cannot just hop on a bus to the parks you have to check in first. that process can take a good 15 minutes. if you didn’t check in you wouldn’t get your “key to the world” card which is your room key as well as your park ticket, and has your meal plan credits on it as well.(i assume you are getting the free dining plan)

you should definitely let disney pick up your luggage at the airport and take it to your hotel room for you. its a time saver and makes it less stressful for you.
and no you cannot just stick your carry on bags with the hotel staff. you will need to drop them off in your room and then proceed to the magic kingdom bus.

the buses do run to the parks that late but remember that it can take up to 20 minutes for a bus to arrive and it will take about 10-15 minutes to get to the magic kingdom entrance.

with the amount of time it will take to get from the airport to the hotel, check in, find your room, catch a bus, and actually arrive at the park you will most likely have an hour or less at the park.
