Why is Disney releasing Winnie the Pooh at the same time as Harry Potter?
Why is it that whenever Disney is going back to what they do best, they have to release their single cell films at a date when their is heavy competition? They released The Princess and the Frog, their return to form, at the same time as Avatar, the most hyped film of 2009!
Now their releasing Winnie the Pooh, Pooh Bear’s come back, at the same time as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the most hyped movie of 2011!
Is Disney aware of their competition? Is Disney just being stubborn thinking that their fans will watch whatever they make no matter what it is?
They’re not targeting the same demographics/age group as Harry Potter. Pooh bear is for children/preschoolers, HP is for tweens and up. They’re also not competing with Harry. Disney will still make $$ with Pooh bear. The budget for the film is nowhere near Harry Potter, Pooh only has to make tens of million & Harry has to make hundred of millions of $$.
