Has anyone been to disney world or similar while heavily pregnant?
This august will be my 19th holiday to disney in florida from the uk and i have taken my daughter twice before and been when i was 3 months pregnant with her (she is now 2), but i have just found out i am pregnant and will be 7 months when we go to disney. Has anyone been in the same situation? Will i be allowed to fly there, how did you cope with the heat, were there any rides that you went on? any tips/ advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
Not me personally, but my wife was 4 months pregnant during our July ’08 vacation.
Basically you’ll have to avoid any attractions with a pregnancy warning, i.e., roller coasters, anything that spins or rises and fall quickly. Only you can decide if you can handle all they walking involved. If you are in good physical shape pre-pregancy, then I think you’ll be okay. If you can’t walk a few miles a day not pregnant, then you’re going to have problems.
Make sure you are well hydrated before you vacation even starts, bring snacks (or lots of money for snacks in the park), wear loose, comfortable fitting clothing, take an afternoon break when its the hottest part of the day, and prepare you body by going for walks prior to vacation time.
