Was Mickey Mouse a slave owner?
In the Mickey Mouse cartoon universe, Mickey is friends with Goofy (a dog). But then he “owns” Pluto, who is also a dog. What is the deal with this? Was it some sort of subliminal pro-slavery agenda being pushed by Walt Disney? My friend Oscar says that Walt Disney was a Nazi and a Free Mason, but to be honest I’m only even vaguely aware of who the Masons are, but since they are free I’m guessing they aren’t related to slavery.
Goofy is an anthropomorphic dog character, Pluto has characteristics of a dog. But they are both still dogs. Maybe someone here can explain this to me.
And while we’re at it, I’m still disturbed by cartoon characters who wear shirts, hats, gloves, etc. but do not wear pants. I don’t want my kids seeing pantless people on TV, and that goes for cartoon characters too.
My dad is a Mason(a person that works with stone) and he said that cartoon slavery is ok as long as it’s an animal owning another animal.
