is it legal?
I want to start an online business selling home decor such as pillows, curtains,etc. ive seen n fabric stores material with popular characters on them such as disney, winnie the pooh,etc. if i use these materials to make my product, sell them, is it legal? or would i be violating some kind of copyright law? i know a little about copyright laws but not a lot.
Yes, you have to buy a license from that company to use their trademarked images. It won’t be worth it for a small timer.
You have two options,
#1 Do it anyway and wait til you get a letter from the company then stop, maybe get in trouble if you have profited from it.
#2 Figure out which images are not copyrighted (Like Winnie the Pooh might be but maybe not Christopher Robin)
