any advice for orlando discounts?

taking the family to orlando in november to visit disney world & kennedy space center. i am a firefighter on our local department & our drill seargent went to disney about 2 years ago & told me to ask about discounts if i get a chance to go. i already got a 40% discount on the hotel with government employee rate & was wondering if anyone can tell me about discounts for any attractions. i hate to sound cheap by using my occupation as a firefighter to get discounts but due to medical bills for my daughters surgery this is the first time ever i have been able to save enough to take my family on a vacation. wer have never been on vacation & my wife has never even been out of state (michigan). any advice would be great thanks.

Since you are staying off site my first question is where you are staying serves breakfast. If they do take advantage of that. Even of its just to grab fruit for the day. If your hotel offers a fridge for free then pack jello to go packets and purchase milk and cereal when you arrive. There is usually a convience store close to the hotel. You can get you snack for nothing. You can get this at you local grocery store and they are easy to pack. Pack snacks for the family when you are at the park. You can purchase the drinks when you get there. They have refill mugs that are souveniors as well.. Unless you and your family is going to eat three meals a day stay away from any of the all you can eat meals they don’t add up. You can also get coupon magazines from your hotel lobby that has buy one get one meals as well as kids eat free. Just keep in mind that most of these are for children under 6. You will need to read the small print. You can also get discounts on orlando.com go to the magic card. You will be able to print out the coupons before you arrive. I set a spending limit for souveniors and hit the discount outlets which saves alot of money. Since you did not say if you got the tickets yet if not check out the following sites for some prices. If you are not renting a car (I found that as long as your hotel has a shuttle) it is cheaper not to rent a car. You can use happy limo which will charge on fee lasr April it was 125 round trip to International Drive and that included a grocery stop.
