Should I go to college in New York?
I really want to go to the French Culinary Institute on Broadway, but I’m almost positive my mom won’t let me go. Is New York really like it is in the movies, where people are rude and just push you out of their way? I’m from a small town, I mean, the biggest place I’ve ever been is Disney World. 
And if I do go I would have to get an apartment and a job working after sundown, is that safe?
It depends on the person. If you are committed, exited & ready to give it your all then, go for it. I wont lie people here can be rude but that’s like everywhere else. I understand its tough for people who come from small towns but New York can be immensely gratifying too. This city is very fast paced, but there’s much to do here. As for work, well it also depends on the job you land & of course how you carry yourself. Its always tough but if you make it here you’ll make it anywhere. The best city in the world didn’t get the name for nothing. I wish you the best & looking forward to one day taste a dish made by you!
