Is the video recording good on iPod touch 4?
Okay so im moving this summer and for band we r taking a trip to Disney. I wanna make like a. Video thing and I thought about getting the iPod touch 4 and the app movie maker (I think that’s what it’s called) anyway. Is the recording good and does the iPod break easy? I would definetly have to get a case but is it durable? I have a 2nd gen right now. Is it a good upgrade? Thanks 
The ipod touch 4g is definately a great upgrade from the ipod touch 2g (I also upgraded to the 4g). The quality of video is fairly good in regular lighting, but don’t expect much in low light. As the previous person said it shoots 720p HD at about 30 fps and that is great but the camcorder on the touch, like most phone camcorders, are more for casual shooting. The Ipod touch lacks alot of camcorder features you see on the iphone so there is a huge differnce in quality.
Phone camcoderders, for now anyways, does not compare to more professional camcorders. Thats also because of no image stabalization. And you don’t even have to spend much money. I suggest the kodak playsport zx3. It is rugged so you dont have to worry about droping it, or even going in the pool. The black one currently sells on Amazon for $118.00 with free shipping. The ipod touch is not a dedicated camcorder, neither is the iphone, so you would definately see a difference in color and quality if you do buy a dedicated camcorder.
If you do decide to purchase the new ipod touch 4g, definately buy a case. Its the smallest ipod touch so far, so I would not want to drop it. And like I said before, it still produces good video quality. type it in on youtube and find out for yourself. As for if it drops easily, I wouldn’t even want to find out.
