Who here thinks that Disney’s Aladdin is like Titanic?
Let’s take a look on their similarities: (with SPOILERS)
1. Aladdin is a street rat, Jack is a homeless artist,
2. Jasmine is a princess, Rose is rich.
3. Jasmine is being forced to marry a prince before her birthday(16th of 18th?) by the law and her father, Rose is forced to marry Cal Hockley by her mother.
4. Both Jasmine and Rose feel trapped in their high society lives.
5. They both try to escape:Aladdin rescues Jasmine, Rose is rescued by Jack.
6. They’re both richgirl-poorguy loveteams.
7.They’re both rebellious and learn about freedom from their poor boyfriends.
8. The “do you trust me” lines were used twice in each movie.
9. Jafar nearly gets Aladdin in a punishment for a crime he didn’t commit, Cal frames Jack for stealing a diamond necklace.
