Working at Disney World..? Florida? Full time job?
Well, I have plenty of time to decide what I want to be, but I’m just curious.
I love love love love LOVE to act, and I’m told I’m pretty good at it (not trying to be cocky AT ALL! I’m just saying to help the answerers) and I think I would really enjoy working for Disney being and a character who like walked around and met the kids ect. Like in Ariel’s grotto or something. Well I was wondering if anyone knew like how much it pays to be one? And how you audition for something like that? And how you get picked for certain roles? Any other advice like that would be awesome!!
Also, what are the advantages and disadvantages of working there?

If I recall, the pay is around 11.50, something like that.
Every once in a while, they have open auditions. You and around 400 other girls will show up.
They will have a multi part audition, where you could be cut at any time.
First they just look at you for 3 seconds
then they teach you a dance, even if your character doesn’t dance
Most people have been cut by this point
they then see how tall you are to see what characters you can play (Fairies have to be short, the ugly stepsisters have to be tall) and put you in a bunch of wigs.
If they like what they see, they take a picture and move on to the next one.
If they don’t like anything, you’re cut. What they want is someone who can look like many characters.
Then they go through an improve section, seeing how well you can pretend to be the character.
If you get the part, you go through training to “become” The character.
Some pros are: You get discounts at disney, free tickets, and everyone says it’s a lot of fun
Some cons: It’s very hard to get a part, and it’s very hot outside.
You might have to start out working in a suit, but you can always work your way up. Being a “face character” is considered a privlage.
