Wilderness Lodge Villa or Boardwalk Villa?
My family of four is planning a Disney vacation for early December 2012. Our kids will be 3 and 4. We want a one bedroom villa. We’ve narrowed our choices down to Wilderness Lodge villas or Boardwalk villas.
Are there any special qualities that one resort has above the other? Which one is more appealing to small children? Which villas are more spacious? Which one has the better “preferred” views? Can you see Epcot from some of the Boardwalk villas? Is it possible to see Magic Kingdom fireworks over Bay Lake from Wilderness Lodge villas? Please help me choose!
Boardwalk by far is a better place I think. For the time you’re going, you might feel more of a holiday feel at Wilderness Lodge. I’ve stayed at Wilderness Lodge, and no, you can’t see the MK fireworks from there. You’re behind a forest on a piece of land that sticks out into the lake. If you stay on the boardwalk, you still can’t see EPCOT. You’re view is of a lake and the Yacht and Beach Club on the other side of the lake. That’s a better view. Both are equally spacious and have many things for small children to do. I would give a slight edge to Wilderness Lodge for being a good place for kids.
