Disney World planning advice….HELP!!?

Hi. We just booked our first trip to WDW for May 18-23 and we do have 6 FULL days there. I haven’t been to WDW since the early 80′s so I basically have no idea how to navigate all th wonderful things to do down there. I have a 6yr old daughter (just will be turning 6) and a 8 yr old son. My daughter loves the princesses!! Son loves anything thrilling and with action!

I did NOT choose the park hopper option or the Water park and more either. I know we can add them when we get there…..I just didn’t want Hubby to be afraid of the cost all up front LOL!! I do have the magic your way with Dining, too. We will be staying at Pop Century.

Any advice and tips would be very appreciated! Thank you so very much!!

WDW has definitely changed!

The first thing I recommend is a good neutral guide book: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. It gives the good, the bad, and the ugly. Passporter does not give all sides nor is as near comprehensive, but is a very good guidebook also. I’d stay away from Birnbaun’s as it is the “official” guidebook–Disney puts it out, so it is all pro-Disney and not honest.

An excellent message board site with all answers you could ever need is http://www.disboards.com

If you do not have dining reservations yet, book them immediately. Check out the menus at All Ears and book online. Snag a princess meal. The one in Epcot is the easiest to get. The castle will be one of the most enjoyable (I prefer dinner). Doing 1900 Park Fair is a little more boy friendly for a princess meal.
