Disney Magic Your Way Dining Plan

How does the dining plan with the vacation package work at Walt Disney World in this scenario?

So, let’s say I have a group of four staying at one of the All-Star hotels and visiting Disney for a week. When we booked the package, we got the quick service dining plan, a seven day magic your way ticket with the water parks and more option. How do we get our dining plan points and tickets? Do we get a voucher or something for it all? Do we have to use only the two meals and snack we were given for that day, or can we use an extra and just have one less for another day? How do we get the resort refillable mug that comes with our package? By the way, all of us are over 3 years old. Please help!

It’s all loaded on to your room key cards, and everyone in the group gets one (at least all that are over three).

Do we have to use only the two meals and snack we were given for that day, or can we use an extra and just have one less for another day?

I believe you can use as many as you’d like per day, though I’d limit it down to using the two meals and maybe the adults, if they don’t use their point for snacks could use their card to get the youngster a snack if the kid’s already used their snack point for that day, but only if the kid is REALLY hungry. If not then let the kid use another snack point, but they’ll go without a snack later! But yes you can use extra credits.

How do we get the resort refillable mug that comes with our package?

One of the group members gets the mug at the resort food court, fills it up with the drink of the groups choice, and then goes to the regester. As long as you haven’t gotten the mug already, you can use your card to get the complementary mug as long as it is included in your package. By the way, refills either cost a snack point (at least I THINK they do) or you have to pay. No freebies on mug refills, and you can refill them at the parks.

As for finding out which restaurants accept the dining plan, you may want to go through the Disney site’s dining category and see what restaurants accept the dining plan. I know that Pizza Planet at Hollywood Studios does. So does Pinnochio Village Haus and Columbia Harbour House. Most of the Quick service locations at the parks do, but because the restaurants at Downtown Disney might be brand names and not Disney run, you’ll have to double check on those. I’m pretty sure your resort will accept the plan. I’m not sure about FoodQuest or the Wonderland Cafe, but I bet FoodQuest will accpet the plan. This is all I know. I hope it helped!

I’m pretty sure all of them accept the dining plan!

Not many of these list whether or not they accept the dining plan, but you’ll be able to find out if you search or ask!
