Condo for Disney Marathon?
My family and I are going to be flying to WDW in January 2010 to participate in the Disney Marathon. Since there will likely be 6-8 of us flying in, I am asking for suggestions for condo rentals very near Disney World. And, if you have participated in the marathon there, do you think staying off property is an OK idea? It’s our first time there since we were kids. No children will be making the trip – just the big kids;-)
I just got back from WDW on May 3rd. Stayed at a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, pool home that had everthing we needed. It was clean and well maintained. Was easy on and off I-4 and at WDW in 10-15 mins.
I rented it thru VRBO.com and the house # is 123231. I do not know the owners, only talked with them by phone. They had a realtor meet me at the house when I arrived. She showed me around and said call her if there were any problems. Only time I called was to have pool heat turned on.
Had concerns that it could be a scam or place wouldn’t be that clean or too far from WDW. It wasn’t. We loved it and want to return again. Rates are VERY reasonable.
Anyway, good luck finding a place to stay. I’m spoiled after staying in such a large vacation home!!
