problems with the movie Ice Princess?
hey guys!
so i just watched the Disney movie Ice Princess (not my first time seeing it, i just rewatched it), and obviously, there are some problems with the movie that some figure skaters might have noticed.
For example:
-There were words in Caseys regional figure skate program. This is not allowed in real life.
-Casey only decided the night before that she wanted to be in the annual ice show, and suddenly the whole show revolves around her.
-In the beginning of the movie, Casey is skating on her pond (winter) but only a day later it’s summer vacation. (what?!?)
there’s more, but did anyone else notice stuff like this?? I’m just wondering if anyone else who has seen the movie notices anything else that is wrong along these lines. just curious!!!

Yeah, she also goes straight from Regionals to Sectionals to (not in movie, just implied) Olympics, if I remember correctly. (haven’t watched the movie in about 3 years) And she lands a double flip flawlessly when she can barely do a single flip. And ‘Snowplow Sam’ isn’t those levels, its really really really basic stuff, not single jumps.
The beginning is supposed to be like, showing that she loves doing it, and she talks to her mom about colleges (like a high school student halfway through junior year would be) and then she talks to her science teacher (the toast guy) about scholarships, starts the project with skating, and then goes to the rink (in pants and a sweatshirt, so must be early spring, like march- cant be more than a month after the skating on the pond, which could be in february), and then she works on it for awhile, over the summer and working at the rink for money to pay for skating lessons, and then the whole ‘last first day of school’ thing, starting senior year, and such, and fall with the show and regionals/sectionals whatever. Get it?
