Where is the best place to buy Walt Disney World tickets?
Going to Orlando next month, need some help getting a good price for tickets.
Most discounted tickets are offered by those timeshare people. It is their way to get you in front of their salesman. Theyll tell you it will take a few hours for their sales pitch. However, your prize – Disney tickets – are only given out at the end of the presentation. If you leave early then you do not get the tickets. They will lose track of time and the two hour presentation doubles to four hours. If you are willing to give a large portion of your day over to a salesman then – yes you can get discounted tickets.
Tickets are offered on EBAY and the like. There is no way of telling how many days are left on the ticket. You have to go to Disney and have them run the ticket through their system to find out. So, buyer beware. You can not call Disney or use a web site to find out what is left on the ticket. Also, your “ID” is checked at the gate. You either get your finger scanned or you show a picture ID to get into the parks. This is done to attempt to halt the black market of partially used tickets.
Disney offers tickets at their website and they used to offer them at their Disney Stores. Since they sold the stores, I haven’t checked if they still offer tickets. You do get a discount if you buy tickets before you arrive. Ticket prices are higher at the park gates compared to buying them prior to your arrival.
Sam’s club, Costco and AAA offer slightly discounted tickets. Also Mapleleaf.com has tickets. Check out mousesavers. They’ll give you the info on ticket prices. They like undercover tourist.
Florida residents and the military can get specially discounted tickets.
