Using a non-park hopper ticket as a park-hopper ticket at Disneyworld?
I didn’t want to pay the extra money for the Park Hopper option, but if I got a basic 7-day pass, can I park-hop with it and just use up another day on it?
I’m in Canada & the 7-day pass was only $12 more than the 5-day at the Disney store & we’re only planning on spending 5.5 days at WDW, that’s why I’m asking.

Can’t I use up 2 days on the pass? Like if I started in Magic Kingdom (Day 1) and then that afternoon I went to Epcot and used up (Day 2)?

Nope! Disney is on to that idea so they made the Hopper option an extra expense. A lot of people think the Hopper is a waste of money, but from experience I would never ever go to Disney World and not buy it. It is worth the extra money… you are completely free to travel to and from as you please.
If you have not already used the ticket you should be able to upgrade to a Park Hopper. Ask to reduce the days from 7 to 5 and add the Hopper. No big deal, and you’ll only owe a little bit. ($50.00 to add, regardless of how many days).
