What do you all think of the new black Disney princess, Maddy?
Her movie comes out in 2009; it is set in New Orleans; it is going to be Disney’s first 2-D movie since Home on the Range. I am SO excited. Gotta say I LOVE my Disney princesses. Up until now Belle has been my fave but I’m ready for something new! Its a collecting thing… And collecting them and watching the movies make me feel like a little kid again. 
I think she’s ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY GORGEOUS!!!
Finally a Disney Princess my twin girls can identify with. I also appreciate that fact that she doesn’t just look like a ‘black Barbie’. My family is from New Orleans,so I’m really looking forward to Disney’s take on it.
When I see her, I see myself and that’s a beautiful thing. For me, as a Black woman, as well as the billions of Black girls worldwide.
