Wall E freezes on Sony BDP S300 after firware 4.3 upgrade. It worked the first time, but froze on second play.?
Make that “firmware”. I find it concerning that Wall E is causing problems on my one year old blu ray player. It appears to be related to the DTS decoding. Has anyone had a “freeze”, then found success by turning off the DTS? Something tells me that $500 per unit early adopters are about to be “Beta-dized”.
I plan to let my voice be heard with Wal-Mart (for selling the disc), Sony (for making the player), and Disney (for making the incompatible disc). I hope others will join me.
I don’t know if this means anything, but I just happened to watch Wall E last night on my PS3, I had to to an update. I haven’t had any problems at all. I seriously doubt the disc has anything to do with it. The “older” blu ray players tend to be kind of buggy, and I suspect that another firmware update is needed.
