Can I ride the Monorail at Disney World from Epcot to MK Ticket center to pick Park Hopper passes?

Hi, My family is traveling to Orlando in 3 weeks, we are staying on Route 192 and will be renting a car. From what I can discern from the maps Epcot and MGM will be the closest to our hotel. I want to do the minimum driving possible. My question on our first day I would like to drive to Epcot, park the rental, take the monorail to MK- ticket center and pick up our “will call” Park Hopper passes. Can I get on the Monorail before I have the park hopper pass in hand? Or on day one do I need drive to MK instead? I have heard about traffic snarls and jams I want to minimize my family’s exposure to it. Any suggestions would be great to read!!

Yes, you can get on the monorail at Epcot prior to picking up your ‘will call’ park hopper passes. Of course you will have to pay for parking at Epcot. You can also pickup the passes right at Epcot before you get on the monorail too. The monorail runs from Epcot to the Ticket and Transportation Center (where you can also get your passes), a different monorail takes you into the Magic Kingdom, but ‘will call’ passes are not available there. Parking for MK is really at TnT. So, bottom line, if you want to park at Epcot and leave your car that is fine, if you plan on going to MK for the first day, then park hop to Epcot for the night time fireworks, then get in your car and go back to the hotel you are on the right track.

Q. I ordered my tickets for Will Call; when and where can I pick them up?

A. Ticket orders placed before midnight (Eastern Time) can be picked up the next day. Upon arrival, pick up your Will Call ticket order at one of the following ticket sales locations: Epcot®, Disney’s Animal Kingdom™ Theme Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ or the Ticket and Transportation Center at Magic Kingdom® Park. You will need to present your Will Call certificate along with a valid photo I.D. (e.g., driver’s license, passport or military I.D.).
