Animation/Anime DVD reccomendations?
I know this is all purely opinionated but I am an animation nut and was looking for recommendations that of DVDs that I could show kids that they normally might not get to see so something other than Disney, Pixar, Miyazaki, or Bakshi. Though I loved Spirited Away and Fantasia a lot.
I just watched Kakurenbo and LOVE IT! I’ve also enjoyed Allegro Non Troppo. I don’t mind if they are shorts or longer or even series I just want a variety to share with these kids (elementary/middle school) I work with and stuff that I can add to my collection. Like stuff from Europe or South America or China just. Somebody suggested Cat Soup but I know nothing about it other than it is Japanese Animation.
Hmm for kids, try other Miyazaki movies. Not sure if they’re all out on DVD. All these should be ok for kids to watch, not 100% sure so check the links.
