Good, fun, friendly, local area to stay in Tokyo Japan.?
I am planning a trip to Tokyo Japan for a college trip with some friends. Where is a good area to stay or near any major hotels where we can just have fun. A place with lots of clubs and lots of bars and friendly people would be best. A Manhattan feel would be better. We also want to go to Tokyo Disney. We will be there for a week.
Roppongi is the main international nightlife district, and Shinjuku is the main Japanese nightlife district. Akasaka is a business district that’s dead at night, but it has a lot of large hotels and is centrally located, and you can get to Roppongi or Shinjuku quickly from there. Any of those three areas would be fine.
I wouldn’t stay in Ginza unless you get a special deal – the hotels there are more expensive than elsewhere and not really better. Ueno and Asakusa are convenient neighborhoods for seeing Tokyo’s museums and temples, but they are far from the nightlife.
