IS the Animal Kingdom Lodge any good?
I have booked a holiday to the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Walt Disney World Florida and I wondered if anyone who has been there could tell me what they thought of it. I am going in June before the UK school holidays. I appreciate any reviews of the hotel :]

Having actually stayed there with a savanna view as well as visited there many times, here’s my take on it:
As a deluxe goes, it’s not too shabby. It’s a beautiful resort, no denying that. The price is relatively low because it’s only really close to DAK.
The pros: beautiful resort, lots of art in the lobby and exhibits throughout the resort, plenty of animal viewing. the bus doesn’t share with other resorts because it’s not close enough to other resorts and as a deluxe, buses aren’t very popular, so the bus service is awesome. I’m a big fan of Boma, which I usually eat at when I go to DAK anyway.
The cons: particularly with savanna viewing. while you have a private balcony and all if you’re in the resort, there’s still plenty of viewing open to everyone all over the resort. The resort is a very large U shape and if you get stuck in the tips of the U, you have an extra long walk from your room to the front of the resort/buses.
Do I think it’s worth it? I could think of better ways to spend my money, but I definitely think it’s worth visiting the resort. They have all sorts of free activities going on all day as well, a free lobby art tour in the afternoon, storytelling at night, night viewing with nightvision goggles at night, medallion rubbing for the kids, a hidden mickey quiz and more.
