To people who are fans of disney movies do you think there will be another disney reniassance like the 90′s?
If you guys don’t know what i mean by disney reniassance it was a period through out the 90′s decade in which disney movies were commerical success and hit box offices worldwide.
the Walt Disney Animation Studios returned to making successful animated films mostly based on fairy tales, recreating a public and critical interest in the Disney studio. These animated films include The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, and Tarzan.
Disney is going be releasing another film called the Princess and the Frog 2009 which will go back to the tradional 2D animation if this film does well on the box office do you think we will another Disney Renissance

That’s certainly what they’re going for.
John Lasseter (of Pixar fame) took over Disney Animation with hopes of returning the studio to prominence (after films like “Home on the Range” and “Chicken Little”).
“The Princess and the Frog” is meant to bring back Walt Disney 2-D animation. Only time will tell if the effort was worthwhile.
A big part of the ’90s Disney renaissance was the music. Alan Menken gave the films a Broadway musical style, which earlier Disney films (like “Peter Pan” or “Cinderella”) hadn’t had. Randy Newman is doing the music for the New Orleans-themed “Princess and the Frog”, so I don’t know yet if Disney will be going for that Broadway feel.
But maybe Disney isn’t trying to rehash its ’90s success, but find a new formula that makes their new output distinct.
I am excited about the project because I have faith in Lasseter to helm the animation studio. Quality is the most important thing for him. I trust that he’ll know how to tell a good story. (The film is directed by the team behind “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin”.)
As a fan of Disney animation I’m glad they’re staging a comeback. I miss the good ol’ days. We’ll have to see if “The Princess and the Frog” and the other movies on their slate are successful before we call it another Disney “renaissance”, but at least they’re trying.
