What it the best hotel to stay in in the Walt Disney world complex?
I would like to go to Disney in Orlando. What is the best hotel to go to with a 9 and 15 year old, boys? Value? Fun? Food?
My fiance and I have been to many of the resorts on property. Our personal favorite is Port Orleans Riverside, because it’s calm and relaxing and designed like a southern plantation. We also liked the Boardwalk because the view of the lake and the boardwalk is spectacular and it recreates the Jersey shore atmosphere of the 1950′s. For adults, the Grand Floridian is the best because it’s very elegant and high quality.
If you want value, any of the Pop Century or All Star resorts are good, because they are similar in style and price to Holiday Inns, Days Inns, etc, with the added bonus of decorations in that theme.
But, as far as deluxe resorts, either the Animal Kingdome lodge or the Yacht and Beach. Animal Kingdom has great decor and allows you to watch animals from your room. It’s really simulates a African safari experience. But the Yacht and Beach resort has an awesome swimming pool with slides. Both resorts have excellent restaurants. However, AK Lodge is further away from the parks than Y&B, which is within walking distance to EPCOT. But all resorts provide shuttle service to the parks and both resorts have excellent restaurants.
