Did Walt Disney really hate Jews? Is Family Guy telling the truth?
I always used to watch Disney cartoons as a kid and I never saw any sings of anti-semitisim. However, I did come across a cartoon by him portraying Donald Duck as a Nazi. At the end of the cartoon we find that Donald was simply dreaming that he was a Nazi, and he awakes to find that he really is in America. I was able to at least reason with that cartoon, thinking that Donald was proud to be a citizen of the United States (as he said in the cartoon), but why is Family Guy saying that Walt Disney hated Jews? For instance, on the “Road to the Multi-universe” episode, Stewie and Brian are sent to another universe that they claim is “made by Disney”, and when The Jewish character on that show enters the scene, the rest of the cast beat him up. Stewie then says, “Oh yea, this is a Disney universe!”
So is all this really true, or is Family Guy just doing this for the laughs?
